Subterfuge

Wednesday’s Word of the Week: Subterfuge

Definition: deceit used in order to achieve one’s goal

Where I Heard It: It was in one of the books I was reading recently and it just reminded me of how much I like that word and that I don’t use it enough. It’s such a nice word to say despite the fact it’s meaning isn’t the most positive thing ever. It would be a great word for ASMR because of the strong b and u sound which is probably why I like saying it.

Pronunciation: Sub-ter-phew-jch

Stay safe guys!!

  1. I’ve heard of subterfuge before but never knew what it meant so thanks for bringing the meaning to my attention! ✨ I’d say a lot of things I’ve read will make more sense in parts now 😂
