Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Loved but Never Reviewed

Hi Guys!

How are you all doing? I am great. Well, me currently writing this is great. I have no idea how future me (aka me when you read this will be) but I hope I am good. I will be in the car on the way back from my trip away. So this will be my last pre-written post! YAY! You’ve probably been getting bored of this holiday pre-writing spiel by now but hey! Just keeping you lot updated with my very busy not that busy lifestyle.
Anywho, I haven’t done a TTT post in so long and as soon as I saw this was the topic I knew I had to do it. If you are an avid reader of my little corner of the internet then you might already know about a lot of these, but hopefully I have thrown in some newer and lesser known ones for y’all too.

One last thing, Top Ten Tuesday is a very popular bookish Meme run by That Artsy Reader Girl. It runs weekly (surprise surprise! on a Tuesday) and it covers literally every topic you could ever think of. As someone who loves a list, I think it’s super fun. Plus, a really great way to find of lots of bookish things very quickly. Let’s get cracking shall we?

1. Fall From Grace (Mad World Series #1) By Christine Zolendz.
If you read my blog a lot you will know that this is arguably my favourite book series of all time. And yet…I have actually never done a formal review on it! It’s one of those things that is always on my to do list and I just never get to it! I literally cannot recommend this enough. It is beyond amazing! You need to read this if you like romance, rock gods, angels, music and a little bit of sexy-times 😉

2. The Gallagher Girl Series by Ally Carter
This is a classic YA Spy novel series. While the first book feels mildly disconnected from the rest of the series I highly recommend powering through because the 4th book is my favourite. It is a great mix of high intensity action and sweet coming of age. Just a great read.

3. Easy by Tammara Webber
This was really my first NA read and boy was it an amazing way to enter the genre. It had everything – mistaken identity, hard hitting/triggering content, A LOT of drama and even a little bit of hate to love romance. If you are into a college romance with a serious side then this is a must read.

4. The Lake Series by Annalisa Grant
This was one of the books that really got me into reading and kind of pushed me towards blogging so it holds a special place in my heart. It is a truly heart-warming coming of age romance that definitely deals with a lot of self-confidence issues which was brilliant to read as a teenager. Super sweet romance and some amazing characters. It’s great to see them grow up and just ahh I loved it. Shout-out to my bestie Cara for the recommendation!

5. The Fallen Star by Jessica Sorenson
This was another Cara recommendation and actually the book series I read straight after the Lake series so I was riding a book high and TBH I wasn’t expecting much from this but boy was it good. The plot of this was a little lacklustre and the main character Gemma wasn’t the best but the characterisation of the boys in this book….hot damn! It was amazing. Alex, Nicolas and Laylen were all just jaw dropping perfection and I loved every second of reading them.

6. A Spy in the House (The Agency #1) by Y.S Lee
I think this is a bit of a hidden gem of a series that I never actually finished (Shock horror!) I still have two books to read in this series but even without reading them I know that this is an incredible series. It is a historical spy novel that focuses on a girl with a mysterious past who is taken in by this all girl Spy society *because no-one would ever suspect woman to be spies!* It’s action packed and so well written…and yes! You guessed it! Even a little bit of romance because you know me – I cannot survive without it!

7. Denazen Series by Jus Acardo
I talked about this semi-recently when the fourth and final instalment of the series was released…yes I am yet to read that. But! I know it is amazing even without having finished it. It’s about a girl with abilities who meets other people with abilities (*cough cough* and a hot guy who’s touch kills 😉 ) and they have to defeat this evil company that is hunting them and using them for evil – that is run by her dad *p.s this isn’t a spoiler, you learn this is the first chapter*

8. Finding Kyler by Siobhan Davis
This is an odd pick and definitely comes with an EHH WTF warning. It’s about a girl who’s parents die and she is taken in by her american uncle that she didn’t know existed. Sounds normal right? NO!!
Now living with them in America…she falls in love with her Cousin!!!! Like waaaa? Where did that come from! It’s so wacky and unbelievable and just so down right weird and yet you literally cannot stop reading! It pulls you in deeper and deeper until your so hooked that you cannot walk away. If you think the cousin thing is the most dramatic part of this series…you would be wrong! Everything gets so much worse and by worse I mean crazy in the best way! I really recommend it, just so you can bask in the crazy along with me!

9. Shut Out by Kody Keplinger
This was a recommendation by my bestie, Anna. It is a really great hate-to-love YA romance that pits girlfriends against their boyfriends who are ignoring them and are more interested their feud between the footballers and the soccer players. So the girls go on a sex strike (or just a general dating related touching) to get them to stop the feud and put more effort into their relationships. It’s super fun with some more serious undertones of what a good relationship should be about and it just a top notch read.

10. Obsidian (Lux Series) By Jenifer L. Armentrout
I have put this one last because I actually can’t remember if I have reviewed this or not. I definitely read it pre-blog so I just assume I haven’t. This is a YA Sci-Fi Romance cult classic. It is so popular and for an obvious reason. It is just so great. Funny, cute, dramatic and just all round really well written. If you haven’t read this then you should get to it haha.

That’s all for today folks! I hope you enjoyed! Have you read any of these? Do you have any recs for me because I am always looking for some new books to read. I hope you all have a lovely rest of your day and I will see you again tomorrow ❤

    1. Thanks so much! It was a super interesting concept to read cause id never read anything like it before. If you liked that series then I think you’d really like the Struck Series by Joss Stirling (ive reviewed all of them)
