I’m sorry today’s post is so late. I was really busy and then I was really tired so I thought I’d nap and then suddenly its 10pm and I haven’t written my post yet.
Today I thought I’d do another Teaser Tuesday. I saw Rainne from Rainne’s Ramblings do this and I had never seen it before and it seemed like so much fun, so I gave it a shot and you guys seemed to really like it so it’s back! Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by The Purple Booker. The weekly meme wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading.
I still haven’t grasped the idea of this yet. If I pick my current read which I’m only a few chapters into, how do I know if the sentence I pick is a spoiler or not since I’ve not read it. But if I pick a book I have read already then it’s not my current read. I think this will always be a conundrum to me.
Here are the rules:
Anyone can play along! Just do the following…
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
-BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
- Just you wait. Payback’s a bitch, Daddy.
- “I’m never going to get used to that,” he said, smiling.
“Used to what?”
“The way I feel like I’m going to explode every time you come close. The way my head fills up with just you when you do that.”
This week in honour of the 4th and final book in this amazing series finally coming out this month I decided to show two of my favourite quotes from Touch (Denazen #1) by Jus Accardo. Re-reading these quotes actually make me want to re-read the series before I get to the 4th one, I just really hope I find time to do that because I absolutely adored this when I first read it in 2017. Here is my Goodreads review from when I read it:
As of Chapter 5 I am really enjoying the high speed action of it, I was worried it would be a slow development into discovering the truth of her father and kale but its succinctness made it really interesting. I am not completely sold on Deznee yet but I think she might grow on me as the book goes on. I love kale so far also. Brant is by far the most interesting I hope he stays in it throughout.I am 50% of the way through and I am still loving this book! Kale has become the most intriguing character because of his lack of knowledge of the normal world, which leads to some great comic relief for the high impact scenes that I’m sure will follow at Denezen. Deznee as also grown on me more and I’m curious about her ability, I am hopeful that the book doesn’t become to centered on her ability and forgets about Kale’s considering the books title.I have officially finished the book, and my final verdict is…
this book was incredible! I have already purchased the next two in their series and can’t wait to get into them. I have grown to love Deznee, and everything about her crazy personality. I still believe in my first instinct of Kale, that he is an interesting and deep character that I am exited to read more about and see develop over the coming books, his love for Deznee is also intriguing as despite saying he knows what love is I feel many sane people don’t know exactly what it means to love and so this is a very interesting plot line for me to read. I am totally captivated by the character and the writing style which is slightly more casual and personal than I am used to but I love it! this earned 4.5 stars in my eyes as it was incredible and intoxicating, resulting in me reading it in under 24 hours. it lost that 0.5 stars because of the lack of Brandt as the book progressed, I really liked his story line and hope they elaborate on in in the next book.
That review was quite a long one, because I was yet to start my blog so I had to put my rambles somewhere haha. Anyway, sorry for the late post again and have a great night!
