I thought I would do a very quick tag today cause I wanted a short post I could throw out and keep my streak of a post everyday *PATS SELF ON BACK*
Actions speak louder than words: A book that wasn’t or couldn’t be better than the movie:
The Princess Bride by William Goldman. Easy. Picking anything else would be INCONCEIVABLE!!!
The grass is always green on the other side: A rags to riches…or riches to rags story:
Masters For Hire by Ginger Voight … comes to mind because I read it recently – she was disinherited I think…the terrible ending kind of permits me from remembering.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree: A parent-child relationship you loved:
Kami and her dad Jon from the Lynburn Legacy Series by Sarah Rees Brennan. They were so funny and great and such a juxtaposition from her relationship with her Mum (a major plot line)
You can’t judge a book by its cover: A great book that NEEDS a better cover:
Pink Lock Picks and Sequined Witch Hats by Carla Rehse. It’s not just the cover but a combo of the cover and title – it sounds like a really bad and cheesy romantic comedy when it is anything but that. It is witty and well developed and just great. Review HERE.
You can’t please everyone: A book you hate that everyone loves:
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, I just didn’t enjoy it. (Sorry Allie :))
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger: A book you are a better person for having read:
Falling Fast by Sophie McKenzie. Another easy one. I did a post on it the other day and that’s why its the first one that came to my mind.
Love is blind: A book with a disabled character OR actual blind love:
I don’t think I have…? I am doing to say one where I thought the love was forced or “blind” despite knowing that’s not what it meant – Just my take on it.
Sookie and Bill from The Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris. Doesn’t Sookie have any sense?? Why pick Bill when Eric’s right there for the taking!!!!!
Ignorance is bliss: A book you know is bad but don’t want to admit it or a book you don’t want to read in case it’s bad:
Opposition (Lux #5) by Jenifer L. Armentrout. This is one of my favourite series of all time and despite wanting to finish it (I was struggling to obtain it in the UK for a long time) I am now worried that I read it and its horrible and it spoils the series!! I love Kate and Daemon too much for them to be destroyed right?
There is no time like the present: Your favourite contemporary book:
Probably The Boy Who Sneaks In My Bedroom Window by Kirsty Moseley – majority of my books are contemporary so I just picked one that was purely contemporary with no fantasy or sci-fi etc. This is a great book!
Better safe than sorry: A book you don’t want to read in case it’s bad or vice versa:
Isn’t this just the same as one I just answered…Uh? Opposition again I guess.
Thanks and Happy Reading,
