My Top 7 reads of 2017

Hi,

I have strong opinions on books.
Hence, why I blog.
So, I thought I would do my book blogger duty and list my top 7 reads of the year so if you are struggling for good things to go for – here you go.

P.S I KNOW FULL WELL THAT PUTTING AN ENTIRE SERIES DOWN FOR ONLY ONE IS KIND OF CHEATING BUT OH WELL.

 7. Nothing Left to Loose Series by Kirsty Moseley.

This two part book series took my breath away in September while I was having my I ❤ KIRSTY MOSELEY stage (Tbh I am always in that stage) I have done a couple of posts on these books with full descriptions and reviews. I love this series – it was a never ending whirlwind of emotion.

 6. Alex Approximately by Jenn Bennett.

I grabbed this one in May for going on holiday…Alex, Approximatelyuntil I found myself having finished it two weeks before catching my flight. lol.
I was an adorable story and hilarious to read. I have a really stupid sense of humour and this had me laughing the whole way through. I have a full review here.

5.  Pink Lock Picks and Sequined Witch Hats by Carla Rehse.

I was given this in return for an honest review only recently 5a567-pink2block2bpicks2bhigh2bresolution2b2b2bfront2bcoverand I am so glad that I did because it has shot up my list of favourite books very quickly. I am blaming Asher. His witty charm too me away – review here.

4. The Boy Who Sneaks In My Bedroom Window by Kirsty Moseley.

I fell hook line and sinker for this book in July. It was actually the book that made meThe Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window Cover want to blog because I wanted the author to know how much I loved her work. This book took my heart by storm and left me broken and elated and every emotion in between. It was my first proper post on the blog and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.

3.The Mad World Series by Christine Zolendz

Fall from GraceI knew when I was reading this series that I LOVED IT. It was so well written and funny it made the plot believable despite it being an fallen angel type of book. I was totally captivated by all of the characters and the plot. Its only now as I have to list them that I realised how much I truly LOVED this series. It beat books that I would never have contemplated kicking down the list at first glance. If you like sassy and funny strong female protagonists you will love this.

2. The Lux Series By Jenifer L. Armentrout

I can’t believe I am putting this in second. I LOVE THIS SERIES. I had this declared as my favourite series of ALL time at the start of January this year. And I would have even saidobsidean that was the case until last week – when I realised I would do a post of this nature and had to compile a rough draft list this sat at the top until I though harder about it. I adore this series more than words – it was fast paced and funny. I loved that Katy never let Daemon push her around even though he was stronger and more powerful. And how can I forget Blake – AKA FLAKKKKEEE. Despite being a “villianious” character he made the books for me. Just overall characterisation made this a series I will continue to re-read for the rest of time.

1. The Lynburn Legacy Series by Sarah Rees Brennan.

I literally have no words for this series. It was an odd one for meunspoken because normally when I fall in love with a series I pick up the next one straight away and read it in an instant. I Untoldread the first in May, the second in June and the third in August. I read the books in a day or so but I didn’t feel the need to grab the next instantly. I was able to come and go as I please, the continuing story line always remaining fresh in my mind for its brilliance. I love all the characters and the plot but the winner for me with this book is the writing – I have never laughed, cried, smiled and hurt so much in my entire life Unmadewithin such a succinct space of time.
If there is only one book you pick up next year – it should be this one.
Full Review here.

I obviously recommend all of these books. I hope next year I will have 7+ to add to the list of all time greats.

Have a great New Year.
Maisy.
