The Christmas Song Book Tag

Hi,

It’s Christmas Eve’s Eve!!
I feel like I should have dubbed this week “The Twelve Tags of Bookmas” I swear I looked for interesting Christmas ideas other than tags but they just seem to draw me in – so here is another.

I saw Danielle from The Introverted Book Nerd post this earlier today so you should check hers out. Also feel free to give it a go yourself because I am not tagging anyone and I am eager to hear your responses.

1.“You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch”
– Name a villainous character you couldn’t help but love.

Blake from the Lux Series by Jenifer L. Armentrout.
I love Blake (aka Flake) He is merely doing what is best for him and his best friend and he is made out to be evil incarnate. Misunderstood.

2.“All I Want for Christmas is You”
– Which book do you most hope to see underneath the Christmas tree?

I don’t ask for books for Christmas. I tend to get money to buy them myself but if I could get one it would be the 5th book in the Lux series because I seem unable to find it anywhere in Scotland.
If you (or you know anyone) selling it – hit me up!

3.“Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”
–
Name a character that overcomes obstacles and learns to believe in themselves.

Isn’t that every female protagonist in Young Adult fiction?
But the first one to spring to mind was Annabel from Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. She so many issues in her life and in the end she overcame it all and came out stronger for it.

4. “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”
 – A) Which character do you think would be at the top of the naughty list?

Carter from Nothing Left to Loose by Kirsty Moseley. He is pure evil. The kind of villain you love to hate.

 – B) Which character do  you think would be at the top of the nice list?

Kami from the Lynburn Legacy Series by Sarah Rees Brennan. No matter what faced Kami she always did what was best for Jared, her family and friends and not herself. She sacrificed a lot to make sure everyone else was better and I loved that about her.

5.“Frosty the Snowman”
–
Which book just melts your heart?

It doesn’t take much for me to melt, get extreme feels and cry because cuteness or happiness. So this was extremely tough.
I can’t pick between The Lynburn Legacy Series again or The Boy Who Sneaks In My Bedroom Window by Kirsty Moseley. They both had the perfect mix of sadness and happiness that had me constantly in the state of extreme heart meltage.

6.“Feliz Navidad”
– Cho
ose a book that takes place in a country other than your own.

It would be harder to pick a book originating IN my country.
First to the top of my brain is Crave by Melissa Darnell because I am reading it currently. It is set in Jacksonville, Texas, USA. So far I like it and I will have a review up soon.

7. “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”
–
Which holiday themed book do you use to spread Christmas joy?

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg. It’s New York at Christmas – something I have always wanted to personally experience and until that point I will just have to live vicariously through this book.

8.“Sleigh Ride”
–
Which fictional character would you choose to spend the holidays with?

This is the one question you should never ask a bookaholic.
Its basically pick your favourite character which is like picking a favourite child. It just isn’t done.
I will narrow down to either –
Blake or Daemon from The Lux Series
Laylen or Nicolas from The Fallen Star Series~
Kami or Jared from the Lynburn Legacy Series.

I can’t narrow it down anymore and it already felt like I was culling the list to extremes.

9.“Baby it’s Cold Outside”
–
Which book that you didn’t like would you sacrifice to a fire to warm yourself up in the cold?

This is literal Blasphemy to me. Even if I hate a book the thought of burning it mentally hurts. I abstain! I will not partake in such barbarity and brutality. I would freeze first…well maybe the House of Night Series – it is 13 books so it would last me a while at least.

10.“Do You Hear What I Hear?”
–
Which book do you think everyone should read?

Another impossible question!
I think the Lynburn Legacy Series or The Lux Series – but you probably guessed that by this point. It’s close but I think people would prefer the Lynburn series more cause there is more action but who knows.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I cannot believe it is here already! I am so excited!! I hope you are too. Like I said before I tag anyone who wants to do this to do it.

Thanks and Happy Reading,
Maisy.
