Small Haul

Hi there,

This is only a short post because like I said, 6th year is mean for course work. I haven’t picked up many physical books recently as I have been reading quiet a few e-book series so haven’t gone charity shop hunting in a while. I did pop into one the other day and this is my short buy list.

Shut Out by Kody Keplinger, I read this last year and really enjoyed it. When I was askedShut Out for a post from one of you lovely lot on it and I saw it I had to purchase it for myself as I had borrowed it from a friend the first time I read it. (Thanks Anna)
Most high school sports teams have rivalries with other schools. At Hamilton High, it’s a civil war: the football team versus the soccer team. And for her part, Lissa is sick of it. Her quarterback boyfriend, Randy, is always ditching her to go pick a fight with the soccer team or to prank their locker room. And on three separate occasions Randy’s car has been egged while he and Lissa were inside, making out. She is done competing with a bunch of sweaty boys for her own boyfriend’s attention.
Lissa decides to end the rivalry once and for all: She and the other players’ girlfriends go on a hookup strike. The boys won’t get any action from them until the football and soccer teams make peace. What they don’t count on is a new sort of rivalry: an impossible girls-against-boys showdown that hinges on who will cave to their libidos first. And Lissa never sees her own sexual tension with the leader of the boys, Cash Sterling, coming.

The Awakening and the Struggle (The Vampire Diaries #1&2) by L. J. Smith. I adore the show and I just had to grab this and give it a shot. I hope it lives up to my very high TVD (#1&2).PNGexpectations.
A DEADLY LOVE TRIANGLE
Elena: the golden girl, the leader, the one who can have any boy she wants.
Stefan: brooding and myterious, he seems to be the only one who can resist Elena, even as he struggles to protect her from the horrors that haunt his past.
Damon: sexy, dangerous, and driven by an urge for revenge against Stefan, the brother who betrayed him. Determined to have Elena, he’d kill to possess her.
Collected here in one volume for the first time, volumes one and two of The Vampire Diaries, the tale of two vampire brothers and the beautiful girl torn between them.

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire I have heard of it but I couldn’t really remember what it was about but I was in a rush and liked the cover so I picked it up (I know how beautiful disaster.PNGscandalous) However it looks good from the blurb (Which I pinched from Goodreads like normal) so I think I should be okay.
The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.
Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

That’s all for today, I’m off to a Halloween party as Lara Croft. What are your costumes for Halloween this year? Have a nice night.

Thanks and Happy Reading,
Maisy.
